FARAY

Faray*, as if the brilliant island (the Fair Isle).

There are two islands of this name, the other adjacent to and in the vicinity of Zetland**.

This island is sterile and uncultivated, but there is excellent fishing.

* - One of the two Faray islands in Orkney. Now generally known as Fara.
** - Fair Isle.
